Leposavić Municipality
Leposavić (pop. ~18,600) is the northernmost Serb-majority municipality in Kosovo, containing the Sočanica Basilica archaeological site and the Vračevo and Sočanica monasteries. Its position on the administrative boundary with Serbia proper makes it both a frontier zone and a relatively secure area for Serb festival life—less dependent on KFOR protection than the southern enclaves.
