Our Lady of Ljeviš Church
Our Lady of Ljeviš in Prizren (built 1306–07) is the clearest case of broken continuity among the major Kosovo monasteries. Burned in the 2004 unrest, subject to ongoing looting, semi-active—it represents the failure of the monastic feast day institutional continuity mechanism. Where Gračanica and Dečani maintain living liturgical calendars under KFOR protection, Ljeviš demonstrates that military protection does not guarantee ritual continuity. Its UNESCO listing has not restored its liturgical function.
