FestivalAtlas is strongest when it feels like a living atlas, not a cold directory. Field Guides help us document the celebrations people actually move through, remember, and travel for — especially the ones the wider world rarely sees clearly.
Browse the Field Guide board and pick a mission near you. We open missions season by season and rotate them so the atlas gains new eyes, not the same five perspectives forever.
We are looking for one strong vertical story from inside the celebration: the movement, the sound, the detail, the emotion that tells a traveller what this moment really feels like.
Upload through your Field Guide workspace. We review with care, publish approved work across FestivalAtlas surfaces, and apply mission credits toward your renewal automatically.
Think less like an ad and more like a clean field note with feeling: a short clip that shows why this celebration matters when you are actually there.
Tell us what we are seeing, when it was filmed, and anything a respectful traveller should understand before arriving or sharing the clip further.
Sensitive celebrations need more than sharp footage. We want creators who know when to step closer, when to hold back, and how to film without flattening people into spectacle.
Approved missions appear as “Captured by [Your Name], FestivalAtlas Field Guide” across festival cards, previews, detail pages, and official uploads. Good work strengthens your standing for future assignments.

We rotate the best missions so the atlas gains range, not repetition. The goal is a living body of work shaped by many places, many seasons, and many voices.
We care about respectful representation more than raw output. That means reviewing for community sensitivity, context, and the difference between documentation and spectacle.
