Each mid-February, on St. Tryphon's Day, northern Mitrovica celebrates the vine with a Wine Day. Local wineries and distilleries pour their award-winning wines and brandies, in a celebration that joins a social gathering of producers to the old Orthodox feast of the vineyards.

Wine Day (Trifun’s Day) is a traditional Orthodox celebration of vineyards. In this event, local Serb winegrowers from Župa and Zvečan showcase their produce. It reinforces an old custom of tying the harvest cycle to the saints’ feast day.
