Wildberg Shepherds' Run

Wildberger Schäferlauf

Wildberg, Germany

Jul 16 - 19, 2026Expected

Every other July, the town of Wildberg holds one of the Black Forest's great folk festivals, the Schäferlauf. A shepherds' run, costumed pageantry, and festivity recall a 1723 decree that made Wildberg a seat of the shepherds' guild, in a celebration of the town's old sheep-farming heritage.

Media proof note

The Wildberg Shepherds' Run record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
