Weingarten Blutritt

Blutritt Weingarten

Each spring, thousands of riders on horseback wind through the town of Weingarten for the Blutritt, escorting a revered relic of the Holy Blood. Said to honor a relic that arrived nearly a thousand years ago, it is one of Europe's largest mounted religious processions, a sea of horses and banners around the great abbey.
