Each early September, the town of Krapina celebrates the Kajkavian dialect and the heritage of Hrvatsko Zagorje. A week of language, folk music, and culture fills the town, in a celebration begun in 1966 to preserve the Kajkavian tongue and the traditions of this Croatian region.
