Vinon-sur-Verdon Transhumance Festival

Fête de la Transhumance de Vinon-sur-Verdon

Each year the Provençal town of Vinon-sur-Verdon holds its Fête de la Transhumance, celebrating the seasonal drive of sheep to the mountain pastures with a large open-air market and pastoral crafts. Transhumance is a centuries-old Provençal tradition, honored here in a scenic riverside setting.
