Each first weekend of June, the town of Viljandi revives its Hanseatic past with the Hansapäevad. Historical reenactments, music, craft bazaars, and sports fill the days, in a celebration of a town that was once an important medieval member of the Hanseatic League.

Opening Ceremony

Attendees gather in the Town Hall Park at 19:00 for speeches, period music, and a parade through the Old Town to celebrate the start of Hansapäevad.
