Each year, the town of Trebinje gathers gusle players and epic poets from across Republika Srpska, Serbia, and Montenegro. Some forty of the finest perform long heroic songs to the bowed gusle, in a celebration, the Union Festival of Serbian Guslars, of a deep South Slavic epic tradition.
