Each August, the Ulster Folk Museum at Cultra celebrates the old country skills with the Making Festival. The story behind it
The Ulster Folk Museum’s mission is to preserve and interpret the rural life of the province. This festival was developed in collaboration with the construction training board to revive interest in labour-intensive crafts that were once common in every Northern Ireland village, like dry-stone walling and handloom weaving.
