This festival serves the Székely (Szekler) Hungarian minority by preserving regional traditions (Mezőség, Kalotaszeg) and strengthening community identity in Covasna County. It has become one of the largest folk culture events in the region, connecting rural traditions to urban audiences.
Respect local customs (e.g. Székely legényes dance etiquette). Do not climb on stages or touch performers’ instruments.
Attendance can be appropriate while active documentation is not. Let local boundaries define your role.
