Tradicionalni lastovski karneval

Donja Lastva, Montenegro

Feb 7, 2027Expected

Each winter the village of Donja Lastva near Tivat holds its carnival, with masked processions and the trial and burning of Krnjo, a straw effigy, to renew hope for the year ahead. Rooted in the carnival traditions of the Bay of Kotor, the celebration is full of Bokelj humor and satire.
