Each January 6, the city of Kraków fills for the Orszak Trzech Króli, a great Epiphany parade reenacting the journey of the Three Wise Men to the Christ child. Families march in costume wearing paper crowns, following the kings through the streets to the Main Market Square, in a tradition that has spread across Poland since 2009.

Originating from a Warsaw school project in 2009 (Epiphany became a public holiday in 2011), Orszak has grown nationwide. Kraków’s version features themed routes starting at Matejko Square, the Salesian Village of the World park, and Wawel Hill.
