Joninės (also called Rasos) is an ancient Baltic solstice festival celebrating life, renewal and the sun. Coastal Šventoji is intentionally chosen as the venue for an authentic, quiet midsummer celebration, in contrast to the busy resort center of Palanga. The festival links old pagan customs (flower wreaths, herbal magic, bonfires) with modern communal gatherings.
