Each autumn, the city of Marijampolė celebrates the harvest with Sūduvos kraitė, the Dowry of Sudovia. An open-air fair of crafts and produce honors the farmers and artisans of the region, in a celebration of the rich agrarian culture of the fertile Suvalkija country.
