Struga St. George’s Day Procession (Relics & Icon Pilgrimage)

Струшка Еордија

Each early May, the town of Struga honors St. George with a great Orthodox procession. Thousands follow the relics and icon of the saint, with the Glykophilousa icon of the Virgin, through the town after the Divine Liturgy, in a celebration that joins ancient spring rites to Orthodox faith.

Media proof note
