St. John and St. Peter's Fire Jumping

Dia di San Wan i San Pedro

Kralendijk, Netherlands

Jun 29, 2026Confirmed

Each year, on the feasts of St. John and St. Peter, the people of Sorobon leap over bonfires to Kriyo rhythms. The fire-jumping marks the late-June saint's days with dance and daring, in a celebration that carries the indigenous and African influences woven into the culture of Bonaire.

Media proof note

The St. John and St. Peter's Fire Jumping record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
