Rooted in the Orthodox St. George’s Day traditions, the festival coincides with rituals of pasture and livestock blessing. It brings together groups from across Bulgaria (and abroad) to perform dances linked to the Feast of St. George.
Wear respectful attire at the church site; photography allowed but avoid flash during performances.
Attendance can be appropriate while active documentation is not. Let local boundaries define your role.
