Each March, the south end of Shetland's Mainland holds its own Up Helly Aa fire festival. A torchlit procession led by a local Jarl ends with the burning of a galley, in a community celebration that carries the Viking-age heritage and fire traditions of the islands.
The South Mainland Up Helly Aa record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
