Mittenwald, Germany

Sep 12, 2026ExpectedSource

Each autumn, the town of Mittenwald welcomes its sheep down from the alpine meadows with the Schafabtrieb. Shepherds and villagers in Bavarian Tracht lead the decorated flock through town to the Schafstadl, with a prize for the finest sheep, in a celebration that closes the Karwendel farmers' weeks.
