Each winter, a different Burgundy village hosts the Saint-Vincent Tournante, a festival honoring the patron saint of winegrowers. A grand procession of costumed wine guilds winds through the vineyards to a mass and a great banquet where thousands of bottles are uncorked, in a celebration of the region's deep wine fellowship.

Originating in medieval solidarity traditions, the Saint-Vincent tournante was revived in 1938 by the Confrérie du Tastevin to unite Burgundian wine villages. Each year one appellation hosts the event, highlighting Burgundy's viticultural diversity and community way of life.
