Each mid-July, the town of Radviliškis marks the end of the rye harvest with a folklore festival. The ceremonial cutting of the final sheaf and the weaving of a rye wreath fill the day around the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, in a celebration of a grain Lithuanians hold sacred as the staff of life.
The Rye Harvest Folklore Festival (Final Sheaf & Rye Wreath, Radviliškis) record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.

Rye has a sacred status in Lithuanian culture as a staple crop and symbol of life. The festival blends pagan harvest rites with Christian elements: after an outdoor Mass (scapular feast), community members honor the rye crop. Women and girls perform a ritual weaving of the last sheaf into a wreath (vainikas) to ensure future fertility of the fields, accompanied by traditional songs and blessings.
