Each autumn, the Upper Bavarian town of Rosenheim throws its Herbstfest, often called the likeable little Oktoberfest. Beer tents, rides, music, and parades fill the days, in a celebration begun in 1861 as an agricultural fair that grew into one of the region's great folk festivals.
