Each late June, the village of Ruski Krstur gathers in the Petro Kuzmjak schoolyard for the Red Rose festival of Rusyn culture. Competitions in traditional songs and new compositions fill the weekend, in a long-running celebration of the distinct Slavic language and traditions of Vojvodina's Rusyns.
