Fiesta de la Pandorga

Pandorga evolved from farmers’ harvest offerings to a people’s night of revelry. Its atmosphere is secular but it invokes the Virgin of Prado. Modern Pandorga blends community theater (selecting a town “Pandorgo” figure) with pagan-like parties (fire bulls and shared drink) in the streets.
People often participate in the drinking rituals; those who do not should observe respectfully. The event has a festive tone, but the offering ceremony has a pause in music out of respect.
Attendance can be appropriate while active documentation is not. Let local boundaries define your role.
Avoid filming or photographing moments that feel private, sacred, or restricted.
Some celebrations are best approached quietly: arrive prepared, follow posted rules, and leave without turning the moment into content.
