Each spring, all of Greece turns toward Pascha, Orthodox Easter, the greatest feast of the year. In Athens, crowds fill the churches for the midnight Resurrection service, candles passing flame to flame in the dark, before the long Lenten fast breaks into feasting, fireworks, and the roasting of lamb.
