Each December, the city center of Drama becomes a Christmas wonderland called Oniroupoli. A market, Santa's grotto, festive stages, and live music fill the city-hall square for families, in a celebration that grew from European Christmas-market traditions into a beloved local event.
The Oniroupoli (Drama Dreamland) record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.

Inspired by European Christmas markets but deeply embedded in local tradition, Oniroupoli started as Drama’s attempt to create a community-centered Christmas festival. It capitalizes on the holiday spirit, combining local folklore with contemporary Christmas imagery. The event supports social causes (entry fees support local hospitals) and showcases Thracian hospitality during winter.
