Oeteldonk Carnival

Carnaval in Oeteldonk

Each year before Lent, the city of 's-Hertogenbosch renames itself Oeteldonk and dresses up as a make-believe farming village, with everyone in the smock-and-scarf of country folk. For three days the streets fill with this gleeful playacting, in one of the most beloved and distinctive carnivals of the Dutch south.
