Once every ten years, the Bavarian village of Oberammergau stages its great Passion Play, keeping a vow its people made during a plague in 1633. Hundreds of villagers act and sing the last days of Christ over many hours, in a tradition of faith and community that has drawn audiences from around the world for centuries.
