Each December 31, the grand Avenue des Champs-Élysées fills with a vast crowd to ring in the New Year in the heart of Paris. As midnight strikes, fireworks and a glowing light show wrap the Arc de Triomphe, in a free, open-air celebration on one of the world's most famous avenues.
