Each high summer the Eastfjords town of Neskaupstaður throws Neistaflug, a family town festival held over the long Verslunarmannahelgin weekend. Run by local community groups, it has grown into a modern tradition, drawing the whole town and its returning sons and daughters home for the holiday.
