Each June, around the feast of San Antonio de Padua, the coastal town of Carboneras stages its Relación de Moros y Cristianos. The drama reenacts a Berber pirate raid and the Christian defense, in a celebration that recalls the town's long history facing the dangers of the Almería coast.
