The festival celebrates Denmark's Viking heritage in Central Jutland. Set near the Moesgaard Museum (which houses Viking artifacts), it reinforces local identity by recreating Norse traditions and demonstrating horseback riding, farming, and crafts of the era. It is designed primarily as an educational experience for families and school groups, linking modern Aarhus with its ancient roots.
