Each late August, the city of Metz celebrates the golden Mirabelle plum, the little fruit that is the pride of Lorraine. Ten days of markets, concerts, and street performances fill the city, ending in a grand fireworks show, in a sweet, sun-warmed festival devoted to the region's most beloved harvest.
