Marmația Winter Customs Festival (Sighetu Marmației)

Festivalul de Datini și Obiceiuri de Iarnă "Marmația"

Each December 27, the Marmația festival fills Sighetu Marmației with masked dancers and performers of the old winter customs. Groups from across Maramureș and beyond parade through town enacting folk rituals and singing carols, in a celebration that has long honored the deep Christmastime heritage of the region.

Media proof note

The Marmația Winter Customs Festival (Sighetu Marmației) record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
