Longyearbyen Literature Festival

Longyearbyen Litteraturfestival

Longyearbyen, Norway

Sep 7 - 11, 2026Expected

Each September, the Arctic town of Longyearbyen hosts the world's northernmost literature festival. Author talks, book launches, film, and concerts fill a free, all-ages "word bath" where schoolchildren and grown-ups read together, in a celebration created to enrich the cultural life of remote Svalbard.

Media proof note

The Longyearbyen Literature Festival record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
