Bucharest, Romania

Sep 5, 2026ExpectedSource

Each year, the botanical garden of Bucharest fills with song for Dor de doină, a festival of the doina. Workshops, crafts, storytelling, and exhibits honor the lyrical, improvised folk song that UNESCO holds as a treasure, in a celebration, begun in 2023, of one of the most soulful forms of Romanian music.
