Every August 15, the little principality of Liechtenstein celebrates its National Day in Vaduz, gathering at the foot of the prince's castle on the hill. After an official ceremony the whole country joins a great open-air folk festival, ending with fireworks over the valley, in a warm celebration of statehood and crown.
