Each Lazarus Saturday, a week before Orthodox Palm Sunday, the town of Krupanj fills with children in Serbian costume. They sing the old Lazarev songs and dance the kolo through the streets, in a springtime celebration of an Orthodox tradition that blesses the town with the promise of new life.
