Knutsford Royal May Day

Each May, the Cheshire town of Knutsford holds its Royal May Day, a Victorian spring celebration begun in 1864. Townsfolk lay down colored sand patterns, crown a May Queen, and parade through the streets, in a celebration so cherished it earned a royal prefix, one of England's grandest May Day traditions.

Media proof note

The Knutsford Royal May Day record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
