Kleinwalsertal Viehscheid (Cattle Descent)

Viehscheid im Kleinwalsertal

Each September, the Kleinwalsertal valley in Vorarlberg welcomes its cattle home from the high pastures with the Viehscheid. Decorated cows and livestock descend to the valley amid festivity, in a celebration of the Alpine farming rhythm that has shaped the seasons of this remote Austrian mountain community.
