Jul 18 - 20, 2025Expected
Each year, the Kada Boaz mountain pass on the Bulgaria-Serbia frontier hosts a cross-border folk gathering. Villagers from both sides, kin among the Torlak people, meet for joint dance, music, and local food, in a celebration that revives a century-old fair on the old crossing that has long linked these neighbors.
The Kada Boaz Pass International Gathering record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.

The Kadă Boaz Pass historically connected ethnic Bulgarian 'Torlaaks' on both sides of the border. This festival revives an interwar-era gathering, emphasizing family and ethnic ties across the boundary. It involves twin villages (Salash in Bulgaria and Novo Korito in Serbia) and is a symbol of peaceful coexistence in the Balkans.
