This festival is rooted in local folklore; villagers reenact an age-old tradition in which Jarramplas (dressed as a horned demon) is symbolically vanquished by turnips, perhaps as a form of purging evil. It reflects the agricultural heritage of the region and brings together whole families and visitors to participate in a shared cultural spectacle.
