Each spring, the towns of Transnistria celebrate Mărțișor, the ancient festival of renewal, with an international festival of the arts. From March 1 to 10, concerts and performances fill the region, in a celebration of a beloved Romanian and Moldovan tradition that welcomes spring with music and the little red-and-white tokens of the season.
