Varna’s ‘Bulgarika’ fair highlights the region’s craft traditions. It links local folk art (wood carving, weaving) with modern design. The fair fosters pride in Dobrudja’s artisanal heritage and serves as a living museum of techniques, offering workshops and crafts demonstrations. It also integrates stage programs (folk ensembles on Rakovina) during Varna’s city holiday (Dormition Day), reinforcing links between craft and cultural festivities.
Respect artisans and their work; follow photography requests at booths; join in traditional crafts workshops modestly.
Attendance can be appropriate while active documentation is not. Let local boundaries define your role.
