Organized each year on Duminica Floriilor (Palm Sunday), this festival focuses on the art of traditional costume-making and folk dance. Families and costume creators from across Oltenia come to display their authentic ensembles. It preserves a rare folkloric niche: the creation (crocheting/costume contests) and public celebration of regional costumes in a communal dance circle.
Respect creators of costumes; photography allowed of costumes but ask permission for individuals
Attendance can be appropriate while active documentation is not. Let local boundaries define your role.
Avoid filming or photographing moments that feel private, sacred, or restricted.
Some celebrations are best approached quietly: arrive prepared, follow posted rules, and leave without turning the moment into content.
