Hop-tu-Naa

Hop-tu-Naa (Oie Houney)

Port Erin, Isle of Man

Oct 31, 2026ExpectedSource

Each October 31, the Isle of Man celebrates Hop-tu-Naa, its own ancient version of Halloween rooted in the old Celtic harvest. In Port Erin, families carry carved lanterns and sing traditional Manx songs, in a festival marking the turn toward winter that is far older than the modern Halloween.

Media proof note

The Hop-tu-Naa record is date-tracked, but stronger reviewed Field Guide media would make it easier to inspect.
