Each spring, the city of Ceuta on the North African coast holds its Holy Week, one of its most important celebrations. Robed brotherhoods carry sacred images through the streets in solemn procession, bringing the deep traditions of Spanish Catholic Easter to the far side of the Strait of Gibraltar.
