Originating in the 16th century, the game was revived in the 20th century to celebrate Florentine heritage. On each June event, flags are raised in the city’s quarters and trumpets sound as locals celebrate their identity with this physical but symbolic game.
This is an intense, sometimes violent display of a Valorous game. Avoid petty actions and follow site instructions. Respect players and fellow spectators.
Attendance can be appropriate while active documentation is not. Let local boundaries define your role.
